New Web Host

I finally broke down and bought web hosting for this site. I got fed up with my free host constantly going down. The site was also running incredibly slowly. You should notice that the site has better uptime almost 99.9% and that pages load more quickly.

After almost a week of downtime, Grommersoft returns. I apologize for this. I had an issue with the web host. I decided to move the site to a new server. It should work fine from now on. If you notice any bugs, please e-mail me at kevin at grommersoft dot com. Additionally, I'm working on improving the site. I've upgraded the forums and the chat features. If you look to your left, you'll see the Discuss and G-Chat links. I hope you will use these to help each other with classes. I think they have a great potential to be benefical. I'm planning on expanding the notes sections and making this site a lot more lean. I value any suggestions you have. Send me an e-mail or post it in the forum. I thank you for using Grommersoft, and I encourage you to tell everyone you know about the site and support it however you can. Thanks, Kevin

Grommersoft is still alive

I know I promised the dawn of a new era quite some time ago. I apologize for the long lapse in updates. I've been pretty busy. I finally launched the much hyped GUNotes site today. It's essentially just a wiki that's integrated into the site. Go ahead and check it out. Be sure to read the introductory article. It provides valuable information about creating, editing, and naming articles. GUNotes is pretty bare right now, but I'm depending on you guys for content. I'm also working on adding some notes that I have to get it going. While I've called the site GUNotes (Grommersoft University Notes), it can also be used for AP and other high school notes. Simply follow the same naming conventions specified in the introductory article and use the name of your high school as the institution. I hope you enjoy this new feature and contribute to it often. It will only be as useful as we all decide to make it. So I ask to you to please share your notes and enjoy the notes others provide. I'm also looking for GUNotes editors to make sure that the site is kept free from inaccuracies and abuses. If you're interested please contact me at kevin@grommersoft.com .

As always thank you for using Grommersoft

New Layout - The Harbinger of Change

I've changed the layout for Grommersoft to give a more updated, sleek feel. I hope you like it. I'm going to leave it like this for awhile. If I decide I don't like it, the interface may completely change again. This layout is the first of many upgrades that are in store for Grommersoft. Check out the new Grommersoft Chat 2.0 on the left. This is a fully integrated AJAX replacement for the old chat. This is an excellent place to have discussions about your classes or just take a break. Also, I'm working on implementing a WikiNote type interface. This will allow users to essentially share notes with one another. I'm going to pilot the WikiNote type interface at a few select universities around the country and continue to expand. I've always believed in the total freedom of information and knowledge. My vision for GUNote (Grommersoft University Notes) is an environment where students share with one another for the betterment of the community.
